Dear Neighbor,

My name is Judy Fitzgerald. For over 37 years, I have been proud to call Escondido my home. 

​

As the daughter of immigrants, life wasn't always easy growing up. Through hard work and determination, I was able to get a job, start a career in law enforcement, and eventually go on to owning and operating my own business.

​

What I am most proud of in my life is raising my daughters right here in Escondido and helping provide them with a better life than the generations that came before them.

 

I care deeply about giving back and playing my part in helping our community thrive. As a community leader, I have supported numerous local charitable organizations, including serving on the Board of the Escondido Chamber of Commerce. In 2023, I was honored to be unanimously appointed by the City Council to serve on the Planning Commission.

 

Now, I am running for City Council to tackle the tough issues facing our community. I will push real solutions to get the homelessness off the streets, support local law enforcement and first responders, and help our local small businesses grow and thrive.
